A Systems and Data Analyst supporting Logan City Council's Transport Operations branch: maintaining business systems and digital workflows, building Power BI/Excel dashboards and reports, ensuring data quality, and driving process and system improvements for field-based frontline services.
Salary: $108,354 per annum plus Superannuation
Salary from: Stream A Level 6.1 starting at $108,354 per annum plus Superannuation.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems and Data Analyst to join the Transport Operations branch within the Council.
Provide technical expertise across Transport Operations by supporting business systems, data management and digital workflows. This role focuses on improving system reliability, data quality and reporting capabilities to support informed decision-making. Working closely with operational teams, you will enhance business processes, support digital technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring efficient, consistent and effective frontline service delivery.
Position responsibilities include:
- Support and optimise Transport Operations business systems, digital workflows and mobile technologies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualisations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across systems and reporting platforms.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead system enhancements, configuration improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Streamline business processes through automation, digital solutions and workflow optimisation.
- Provide technical advice, training and support to office-based and field-based staff.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ICT and vendors to deliver effective systems, data and technology solutions.
Key indicators for success:
- Experience working with field-based workforces, service delivery environments or local government operations will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, balancing operational, technical and business requirements.
- Experience supporting business systems and resolving technical issues in operational environments.
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting and visualisation using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, design and implement process and system improvements.
- Experience working with enterprise business systems, such as Pathway, TechnologyOne or similar platforms.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system and data-related issues.
- Ability to gather requirements, analyse business needs and deliver practical technology solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly guidance.
- Collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and support field-based technology solutions
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Data Analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
