A senior technical leader at a growth-stage energy technology company who architects behind-the-meter battery storage and Energy-as-a-Service solutions for telecom, tower, data center, and commercial customers — integrating battery OEMs and inverters via the company's EMS/SCADA and optimization platform, while supporting sales, delivery, and field commissioning.
We're a growth-stage energy technology company, and we're looking for a senior technical leader to join us. You'll design Behind-the-Meter energy storage and Energy-as-a-Service solutions for our Telecom, TowerCo, and Commercial & Industrial customers. We don't build batteries or inverters. We integrate the best ones on the market through our own EMS, SCADA, and optimization platform. This role touches product, systems engineering, sales engineering, delivery, and customer success. If you thrive in a startup and enjoy going from whiteboard design to field troubleshooting, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Architect customer solutions: Design backup power and storage systems for telecom carriers, tower companies, data centers, critical infrastructure, and C&I sites. You'll handle sizing, technology selection, controls, communications, and utility interconnection.
Own OEM integration: Lead integration of battery OEMs (CATL, Hithium, EVE, BYD, Fluence, LG) and PCS/inverter platforms (Sol-Ark, SMA, Sungrow, Delta, Kehua, TMEIC). You'll define communication mappings, data models, and controls sequences so our integrations are repeatable.
Lead EMS and controls strategy: Be our system-level expert on peak shaving, demand charge reduction, generator optimization, demand response, solar-plus-storage, and revenue stacking, and help turn market needs into product features.
Help build the company: Join customer presentations, help us close deals, support investor and partner conversations, create documentation and playbooks, and mentor the engineers who join after you.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering, or a related field
7+ years in battery storage, DER controls, microgrids, telecom power, SCADA, industrial automation, or distributed/utility-scale energy
Multi-vendor integration experience and a strong grasp of communications and control systems
Customer-facing technical experience
Willingness to travel to customer sites and commissioning events
Nice to Have
Telecom backup power or TowerCo experience, or hybrid generator-storage systems
EMS development, revenue stacking, or fleet management platforms
Utility interconnection, solar-plus-storage, or FAT/SAT experience
Compliance: UL 9540/9540A, UL 1741 SB, IEEE 1547, NFPA 855, NEC 706
What Success Looks Like
In 6 months: You're the technical lead on our key opportunities, you've certified one new battery and one new PCS platform, and our commissioning procedures are stronger.
In 12 months: You've built a repeatable OEM integration framework, cut field integration timelines by 25% or more, and become a trusted advisor to our strategic customers.
