We are looking for an IT Helpdesk / Desktop Support Engineer to provide first-level technical support to end users in a Windows-based environment. The role will involve troubleshooting hardware, software, login, network, and system-related issues, along with user account management through Active Directory.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
· Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory.
- Create, modify, and manage Security Groups based on business requirements.
- Manage Email/Distribution Groups, including membership updates and access changes.
- Perform Vulnerability Management, including reviewing and remediating vulnerabilities across all severity levels.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a Windows domain environment, including login problems, profile issues, and network connectivity.
· Support patch management on laptops using Microsoft Software Center.
· Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware for end-users.
· Assist with system updates, software installations, and antivirus checks.
· Maintain documentation for IT procedures, support tickets, and troubleshooting steps.
· Coordinate with higher-level IT staff or vendors when necessary.
· Ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests, following SLAs.
· Educate users on best practices and basic IT procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience in an IT helpdesk or desktop support role.
· Proficiency in Active Directory (user account creation, password reset, group policy basics).
· Strong understanding of Windows domain environments.
· Experience using Software Center for patching and application deployment.
· Knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems.
· Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
· Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Educational Qualifications:
· BE / B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, or related field)
· MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
· BSc / MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
· CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Microsoft certifications (MTA, MD-100, etc.)
· Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP)
Work Schedule:
· Shift-based role (rotational shifts during the day)
· Saturday and Sunday shifts are compulsory (UK time)
· Two days off per week (compensatory)
· No night shifts
