Overview
The Structural Designer II performs design activities for assigned projects under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (LPSE). Also assists the project team in the production of projects that are on time, within budget and of the utmost quality.Responsibilities
- Producing construction documents for assigned projects.
- Generates basic structural details and sections.
- Generates foundation plan and framing plan.
- Upholds TME's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.
- Other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- 2-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree in Engineering Related Field
- 2-4 years of structural design or drafting experience
- 2-4 years' experience with AutoDesk Revit BIM Software
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Vision and Creativity
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Possess solid working knowledge of the subject matter
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, high education, and/or central plant infrastructure projects.
Travel Requirements
- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Climbing stairs.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Quiet environment.
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Pay Range
