Strategic Account Manager – Life Sciences

Strategic Account Manager – Life Sciences

Location: Remote, Nationwide, with preference for candidates based in the Dallas, TX market

Travel: Potentially up to 50%

Our client is expanding its presence in the Life Sciences market and is looking for a commercially driven sales professional who knows how to open doors, grow strategic relationships, and win complex business on value rather than price. This is a high-impact opportunity to step into an established customer portfolio while also having the autonomy and resources to pursue significant new business across pharmaceutical, biotech, and other regulated markets. The right person will combine a hunter mentality with disciplined account leadership and the technical curiosity to sell engineered solutions that protect critical, temperature-sensitive products throughout the supply chain.

This Role Offers:

• A meaningful portfolio of established customers to manage, retain, and expand while building a pipeline of new logos.
• High visibility within a Life Sciences business positioned for continued growth.
• Significant independence for a self-directed seller who performs best without heavy day-to-day management.
• A consultative sales environment where technical expertise, service, and business value matter more than simply offering the lowest price.
• Access to engineering, operations, quality, and other technical resources to support complex customer opportunities.
• Opportunity to work with sophisticated temperature-sensitive packaging and supply-chain solutions serving highly regulated end markets.
• Uncapped revenue commission potential, with performance tied to both growth and profitable business.

Focus:

• Build a strong pipeline of prospective customers and independently develop new relationships across Life Sciences and related regulated markets.
• Take ownership of an established account portfolio, strengthening key relationships while identifying opportunities for profitable expansion.
• Create strategic account plans that balance aggressive new-logo development with retention and growth of existing business.
• Lead consultative sales conversations around temperature-sensitive shipping challenges, operational requirements, and total solution value.
• Protect profitability through disciplined value selling, positioning differentiated solutions rather than relying on price to win.
• Navigate stakeholders across engineering, quality, supply chain, procurement, and operations while coordinating internal resources around customer needs.
• Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposals, negotiations, implementation, and ongoing account development.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, CRM activity, and customer engagement while traveling regularly to advance key opportunities.

Skill Set:

• Proven hunter with demonstrated success independently prospecting, developing, and closing new-logo business.
• Strong account-management experience with the ability to retain and expand a significant existing customer portfolio.
• Demonstrated sales experience within Life Sciences, cold chain, thermal packaging, or a strongly adjacent regulated market.
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, engineered packaging, healthcare logistics, or related experience is highly desirable.
• Strong solution-selling capabilities with a track record of protecting margins and winning on value rather than primarily on price.
• Technical and supply-chain aptitude sufficient to understand engineered products, temperature-sensitive distribution challenges, and complex customer requirements.
• Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder sales involving technical, quality, operational, supply-chain, and procurement teams.
• Self-directed, organized, high-energy professional with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, CRM, and pipeline-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, with the ability to travel regularly for customer and business needs.
