Staff-level engineer at Ford leading the design, validation, and vehicle integration of next-generation electro-mechanical steering systems, from requirements and CAD/CAE design through supplier management, functional safety, and vehicle-level testing. Core stack includes 3D CAD (3DEXPERIENCE), ISO 26262 functional safety, GD&T, and vehicle dynamics work.
As a Staff Steering Systems Engineer, you will drive the design, development, and execution of next-generation steering systems. This position involves development, validation, and vehicle integration of steering systems into Ford Motor Company vehicles. You will bridge deep technical expertise in electro-mechanical hardware, chassis controls software, electrical and system-level architecture with rigorous engineering discipline to optimize steering performance, safety, cost, and manufacturability. Working across concept design, feasibility analysis, and full-vehicle validation, you will play a central role in delivering best-in-class steering and vehicle attributes for our next-generation portfolio.

This position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
