Staff-level, hands-on technical leader on the Thomas engineering team at Xometry, guiding architecture, code review, and mentorship across teams while building AI-assisted sourcing on a TypeScript/Node.js, GraphQL, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch stack plus LLM/RAG and vector search infrastructure.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join Thomas engineering. As a senior individual contributor, you will guide software implementation across several engineering teams and influence decisions across our technology organization. Thomas is moving from a traditional supplier directory to AI-assisted sourcing, and you will set technical direction for the shared systems and AI infrastructure that this shift depends on, while staying hands-on in the code.

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $170,000 – $195,000 annually + annual bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
