• Together with your team, own the UI end to end. From writing high-quality, well-tested code to managing its deployment and security as part of a team that practices DevSecOps

• Serve as a technical authority on front end best practices, mentoring engineers and raising the engineering bar through design and code reviews.

• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and customers to establish requirements and iterate on designs.

• As part of a cross-functional development team, take on testing, documentation and support when needed.

We are looking for people who have 10+ years of experience building production-grade web applications, with a track record of owning front end architecture and delivering complex features at scale. A Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.

Knowledge of Biology is not required, as we have a team of scientists who will help you learn. You will be an engineer that prides themselves on getting things done!

• Proficiency with modern front end tooling, including build systems, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and front-end security practices.

You may also have:

• Comfort using AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code) as part of a modern development workflow.

• Experience with data visualization libraries, custom charting, or canvas-based rendering (e.g. HTML5 Canvas).

• Experience working on scientific, bioinformatics, or data-intensive web applications.

• Familiarity with cloud-based front end deployment and CDN strategies, particularly on AWS.
