Staff infrastructure engineer on Multiply Labs' Software Infrastructure team, building and running the AWS cloud services, OTA update/configuration systems, and CI/CD pipelines that keep a fleet of biologics-manufacturing robots highly available and secure. Core stack: AWS (Lambda, IoT Core, DynamoDB), Docker/Kubernetes, Python, Terraform/CloudFormation, and Linux.
Multiply Labs is a robotics company on a mission to solve a significant bottleneck in modern medicine: the manufacturing of life-saving advanced biologics, from gene and cell therapies to antibodies and more.
Today, these therapies are produced through manual, labor-intensive processes. Costs are extremely high—often $500K–$2M per patient—limiting access to only a small fraction of those who need them.
As product complexity increases and the cost of failure and scientific labor rises, the industry is shifting toward automation. Robotics and AI are making automated biologics manufacturing feasible, reliable, and economically scalable.
We believe the future of biomanufacturing is robotic—closed, automated, and scalable—ensuring critical therapeutics are accessible to every patient who needs them.
Why This Matters
We don’t just build robots—we’re building the essential infrastructure for next generation biologics. Our technology enables biopharma companies to scale production without redesigning their science, reducing regulatory hurdles and lowering costs so these treatments can reach more patients.
The Mission: Build the world’s best robots to make life-saving therapies accessible to all.
The Technology: Advanced robotic orchestration, high-precision automation, cloud-integrated hardware-software systems, dextrous manipulation, and imitation learning.
The Location: Headquartered in San Francisco, CA.
The Backing: Supported by premier investors, including Casdin Capital, Lux Capital, and Y Combinator.
Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for reliable, secure, and scalable over-the-air (OTA) updates and configuration management for a fleet of IoT devices
Architect, deploy, and manage highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant cloud services in AWS to ensure 99.99%+ uptime for critical systems
Maintain and improve automated integration test suites and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the reliability, speed, and ease of use of our software stack and build process
Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure, including least-privilege access controls, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and robust network segmentation
Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools that provide deep visibility into system health and performance
Monitor cloud resource utilization continuously and implement strategies for cost efficiency without compromising reliability or performance
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion software engineering best practices (clean architecture, testing patterns) to elevate the team
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or site reliability engineering, with a focus on cloud platforms, distributed systems, or complex automation
