Backed by General Catalyst and Sequoia, Lean is the first regulated Open Finance platform in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, powering payments and data for over 350 clients including Binance, Careem, and Etisalat.

Job Description

As a Staff DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer at Lean Technologies, you will lead the strategic evolution of a multi-region infrastructure. Operating at the intersection of SRE and platform engineering, you'll architect scalable systems across hybrid-cloud environments (GCP, OCI) to support billions of dollars in transactions for the region's leading financial services.

Location

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Why this role is remarkable

• Shape the infrastructure strategy for a fast-scaling, regulated fintech platform at a pivotal growth moment rather than maintaining a mature, static system.
• Work with a high-caliber team backed by premier investors like Sequoia and General Catalyst, processing billions of dollars in transactions across the MENA region.
• Receive a meaningful equity stake in a company that has tripled in size over the last year and is expanding into new markets and products.

What You Will Do

• Define and own the infrastructure architecture strategy across hybrid cloud environments including GCP, OCI, and on-premise data centers.
• Design and evolve Kubernetes platforms for multi-region scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency while establishing enterprise-grade GitOps and IaC standards.
• Partner with engineering leadership to drive automation, lead incident management, and mentor senior engineers across the DevOps and infrastructure domains.

The ideal candidate

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering with a proven track record of designing and operating complex distributed systems at scale.
• Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, Linux internals, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs), and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python or Go, with experience navigating multi-cloud environments and high-security compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Who are Jack & Jill?

Ok, I'll go first. I'm Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you're great at and what you want from your career. Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support. And I'm Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they're looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack's network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

• Jack's an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
• Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack's network.
• If it's a match and the company wants to meet you, they'll make the intro. In the meantime, if you'd like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.
