Sr Technical Recruiter

About the role and team

Working at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you aren't just filling seats; you are an advisor and architect of the teams that shape how the world moves. The reality of this role is high-volume, high-ambiguity, and high-pressure. You will navigate complex hiring landscapes where the right talent is scarce, and the competition is fierce. You’ll need to make smart decisions with imperfect information and stay resilient through the messy reality of shifting business priorities and a demanding market.

Success here requires more than just process—it requires a mindset of ownership and a relentless focus on quality. You’ll be part of a Talent Acquisition team where excellence is the norm, and you’ll be expected to push back on stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and build data-backed strategies that work. If you are energized by the challenge of finding the "right" person for the most critical product roles at scale, and you can lead with both empathy and urgency, this is where you’ll grow.

• Translate complex recruitment data and market trends into comprehensive narratives that influence hiring managers and shift organizational strategy.
• Develop and execute data-informed closing strategies, identifying potential bottlenecks in the candidate journey and using market knowledge to secure top talent.
• Own the interdependencies between cross-functional partners—including Mobility, Comp, and Immigration—to ensure a seamless, high-speed recruitment process.
• Continuously audit and realign assessment processes with hiring managers to remove friction and improve the quality of every hire.
• Build tailored pipeline strategies based on deep talent mapping and an understanding of how elite product talent is distributed across the market.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven track record of partnering with senior-level business leaders to build diverse and high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and move fast without sacrificing accuracy.
