Sr Software Development Engineer

BeyondTrust is a place where you can bring your purpose to life through the work that you do, creating a safer world through our cybersecurity SaaS portfolio.

Our culture of flexibility, trust, and continual learning means you will be recognized for your growth, and for the impact you make on our success. You will be surrounded by people who challenge, support, and inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

The Role

BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (UI) to build the user experience for the NHI Governance domain within our Pathfinder products. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and accessible front-end experiences — the dashboards, queues, and workflows that help customers discover, assess, and remediate non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, secrets and keys, and AI agents) across cloud and on-premise environments. You will work closely with design, product, and backend engineers to deliver outstanding experience for our enterprise customers.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and accessible front-end features and interfaces.
• Deliver an outstanding user experience across complex, data-rich workflows and dashboards.
• Contribute to front-end architecture, component libraries, and design system alignment.
• Collaborate with design and product to translate requirements and prototypes into polished, high-quality UI.
• Partner with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs and optimize data-fetching and feedback loops.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and uphold a high-quality bar through code review.
• Champion accessibility, performance, and usability as first-class concerns.
• Mentor engineers and share front-end best practices across the team.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong front-end engineering skills with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular with TypeScript preferred; React or Vue welcome) and deep TypeScript experience.
• Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture — component design, state management, monorepos, and design systems.
• Hands-on, day-to-day experience using Claude Code (or comparable agentic AI coding tools) to deliver production-quality software.
• Experience building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating with cloud-native back-end services.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard frameworks (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Highcharts).
• A strong eye for detail, accessibility (WCAG), performance, and user experience.
• Familiarity with modern test strategies for front-end applications.
• Experience with cloud-hosted SaaS applications (AWS preferred).

Nice To Have

• Experience with embedded analytics or reporting (e.g., AWS QuickSight) and micro-frontend architectures.
• Domain experience in identity security or other data-dense enterprise products.

Who You Are

• A front-end craftsperson who takes ownership and delivers polished, accessible, performant experiences.
• A collaborator who partners closely with design and backend engineers.
• A bar-raiser for delivering results and relentlessly pursuing high quality.
• Someone who balances technical excellence with pragmatic decision-making.
• A developer with an eye for detail and a passion for building great products.
