Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Elastic VMware Service (EVS) team, you will obsess over customers, delivering first-class experiences by understanding their challenges and crafting solutions that exceed expectations. You'll take ownership of ambiguous problems, from architecting distributed systems at cloud scale to resolving complex integration issues, defining problem spaces and delivering robust solutions. Your work spans the complete software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support. You'll use data to drive decisions, instrumenting systems with meaningful metrics and validating assumptions through experimentation. Finally, you'll contribute to building a world-class team by learning from talented engineers, mentoring teammates, and elevating the entire team's capabilities through your technical leadership.
