Design AI-powered business communication tools, balancing user needs and technical constraints while shipping front-end code and scalable design systems.
About Dialpad
Dialpad is the AI platform for customer experience, built to resolve customer problems in real time across voice and digital. Our AI agents learn from your best human agents and improve with every interaction, helping organizations understand their customers, deliver better experiences, increase operational efficiencies, and build a lasting competitive advantage.
Unlike legacy systems built to route and answer, or standalone agentic bot vendors built to deflect, Dialpad was built to resolve. Our AI agents and human agents operate on a single platform with shared context, allowing Agentic AI to resolve issues, advance deals, and eliminate busywork through automation while seamlessly handing conversations to humans when needed, with full context preserved.
Market-leading brands, including Randstad, Motorola Solutions, Netflix, the San Diego Padres, the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, and Cal Athletics, trust Dialpad. Dialpad is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, GV, ICONIQ Capital, and T-Mobile.
Being a Dialer
At Dialpad, AI isn’t just a feature; it’s how our teams do their best work every day. We put powerful AI tools in every employee’s hands so they can move faster, think bigger, and achieve more.
We believe every conversation matters. And we’ve built the platform that turns those conversations into insight and action, for our customers and ourselves.
We look for people who are intensely curious and hold themselves to a high bar. Our ambition is significant, and achieving it requires a team that operates at the highest level. We seek individuals who embody our core traits: Scrappy, Curious, Optimistic, Persistent, and Empathetic.
Your role
Help build the future of AI-powered business communications at Dialpad. The Dialpad Design team is an integral part of Dialpad’s success. We’re assembling a world-class team of curious problem solvers who are passionate about keeping humans first in this new age of AI technology. We believe that great design is a strategic differentiator for Dialpad, but that differentiation doesn’t just happen. It takes a dedicated, collaborative team that works hard to advance Dialpad’s mission to empower businesses and their people to be wildly successful while doing career-defining work.
We’re looking for a Sr. Product Designer who’s excited to explore a variety of product challenges across Dialpad. You’ll collaborate closely with other designers, engineers, and product managers to craft intuitive, scalable, AI-powered experiences that help people connect and communicate better.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys learning quickly, adapting to new problem spaces, and experimenting with AI tools as part of a growing design practice.
What you'll do
- Lead complex, high-impact product initiatives from discovery to release.
- Ship regularly: prioritizing real-world impact over pixel-perfect mockups.
- Design AI-powered features and workflows that feel intuitive, are trustworthy, and useful.
- Work alongside engineers to refine implementation details and ensure high-quality execution.
- Ship front-end development into the codebase.
- Use necessary tools to create prototypes and/or tools to test workflows, interactions, and edge cases.
- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strengthen and evolve Dialtone, ensuring scalable, accessible, and cohesive system design.
- Identify new opportunities where AI and automation can create meaningful value for customers.
- Mentor other designers and elevate the craft, speed, and quality of how the team ships.
Skills you'll bring
- Have 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality, thoughtful product design work.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivered experiences.
- Be highly comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading complex projects independently.
- Think in systems: designing cohesive end-to-end experiences rather than isolated screens.
- Comfortable working in front-end code and deeply collaborating with engineering.
- Experience working with AI tools and designing AI-enhanced experiences.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively across disciplines, including with leadership.
- Care deeply about craft, detail, usability, and measurable product outcomes.
- Proactively identify problems, propose improvements, and drive work forward without waiting for direction.
