Solutions Consultant

About Bitfocus

At Bitfocus, our mission is simple but ambitious: help end homelessness. We do that by building and supporting Clarity Human Services — the technology that powers communities across the country in their work to connect people experiencing homelessness with the resources they need.

We're a team that leads with care, innovates with insider knowledge, and believes deeply in the power of community. We take pride in what we build, support one another through hard problems, and embrace smart risks in service of meaningful impact.

If you're someone who wants their work to matter — and wants to grow alongside a team that's genuinely committed to getting this right — we'd love to have you.

We know strong candidates don't always look the same on paper. If you're excited about this role and believe you have what it takes, we'd love to hear from you — we're building a team that reflects the communities we serve.

About the role

As a Solutions Consultant, you'll own the full sales cycle — new business and renewal — for an assigned portfolio of clients and prospects across your region, directly driving revenue growth for Bitfocus's mission to help end homelessness. You'll pair consultative, value-based selling with deep regional expertise and a visible presence in the field — including regular travel (up to 50%) to represent Bitfocus at industry conferences and cultivate relationships with prospective clients — connecting Clarity Human Services' capabilities to measurable outcomes for the human services professionals who rely on it every day. This is a career-track sales role: as you build a record of revenue performance and regional credibility, there's a defined path to senior levels within Growth.

About the Growth team

The Growth team owns Bitfocus's full revenue lifecycle — from first outreach through renewal and expansion — across every region we serve. Solutions Consultants work alongside Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to keep the sales motion tightly connected to what's actually happening in the field.

• New business development

• Account renewals & expansion

• RFP & proposal strategy

• Regional market intelligence

• CRM & pipeline operations

• Cross-functional sales enablement

What you'll do

• Own your pipeline. Drive the full sales cycle for your assigned portfolio — outreach, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close — while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

• Grow existing accounts. Get ahead of renewal conversations, spot expansion opportunities in usage patterns, and turn unmet needs into new value for current clients.

• Represent Bitfocus and win new business. Show up as the face of Bitfocus at industry conferences, trade shows, and regional events — staffing booths, joining panels, and turning conversations into qualified leads — while prospecting through direct outreach and network relationships to advance net-new deals from first contact to close.

• Shape winning proposals. Identify and prioritize which RFPs are worth pursuing, contribute subject-matter expertise to responses, and review drafts for accuracy before they go out.

• Become the regional expert. Build deep knowledge of your region's homelessness landscape, funding structures, and political dynamics, and use that intelligence to anticipate client needs before they raise them.

• Deliver demos that land. Tailor every software demonstration to the specific challenges of the audience in front of you, and use it to move the deal forward.

• Keep the pipeline honest. Maintain accurate, current CRM records and forecasts in HubSpot so leadership can trust what's coming.

• Partner across the business. Work with Marketing, Customer Success, Services, and Product to keep client-facing materials and platform representation accurate.

You'll know you're succeeding when...

• Your pipeline stays healthy and your revenue performance is steady across quarters — a reflection of disciplined work, not late-cycle scrambling or leadership chasing you for updates.

• The relationships you build at industry events and conferences consistently turn into qualified pipeline — people you meet remember you and follow through.

• Clients renew and expand at high rates because they trust you and see real value from Clarity Human Services.

• Colleagues and clients treat you as the go-to source on your region's market conditions and political landscape.

• Your demos consistently move deals forward because they're built around what the audience actually needs.

• You're trusted with a larger or more complex territory as your track record builds.

What you bring

• 2+ years of quota-carrying sales experience. You've managed a full sales cycle, from prospecting through contract execution, and have a track record of meeting revenue targets.

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%. This role includes regular travel for client visits and industry conferences.

• Comfort representing Bitfocus in public settings. You can work a conference floor, strike up conversations with strangers, and turn a five-minute exchange into a qualified lead.

• Comfort presenting to non-technical audiences. You can explain complex software capabilities and data concepts clearly, in both writing and conversation.

• Strong written communication. You can draft clear, persuasive proposal and RFP content under a deadline.

• Self-direction. You're comfortable working independently in a remote environment — managing your own activity, keeping CRM records and forecasts current, and staying accountable without close supervision.

• Mission alignment. You care about the population Bitfocus serves, can sell from that place authentically, and can pick up regional market and political dynamics as you go.

Nice to have

• Experience working in or selling to human services, homelessness response, or government agencies.

• Familiarity with HMIS concepts or HUD data reporting requirements.

• Experience with HubSpot specifically.

• Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com or Jira.

• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, public policy, human services, or a related field.

Compensation

We're committed to competitive, equitable pay. Compensation bands reflect market data for comparable roles in and adjacent to the HMIS industry, adjusted for the specialized nature of our work. Target pay is set at the midpoint of the band, and where you land depends on your experience, skills, and the complexity you bring to the role. Compensation is not location-based.

This range reflects the targeted compensation at this level, with senior-level roles carrying a separate, higher band. This position is also eligible for a competitive variable compensation (commission) plan, bringing the On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential to a range of $59,000 to $120,000.

We hire and promote based on skills, experience, and potential, and we work to reduce bias at every stage of our process, including through structured interviews. We're also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

A note on AI use during hiring

We know candidates use AI tools to help prepare applications, and that's okay — we'd just ask that what you submit and say in interviews reflects your own understanding and experience. On our end, a human is always involved in reviewing your application and making hiring decisions; AI may support parts of our process, but it doesn't replace our judgment about who you are and whether this is a good fit.

A note on your security

To protect yourself from recruitment scams: all official communication about this role will come from an @bitfocus.com email address or through our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse. Bitfocus will never ask you for payment, banking details, or sensitive personal financial information as part of our hiring process. If something feels off, reach out to us directly to confirm before responding.

A note on timing

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. To ensure consideration, please apply by November 3, 2026.
