At OneSpan, we specialize in digital identity and anti-fraud solutions that create exceptional and secure experiences.
At OneSpan, we are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a Solutions Engineer, you are much more than a technical expert. You are a trusted advisor, problem solver, and business partner who helps customers achieve meaningful outcomes with OneSpan solutions.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is equally comfortable discussing business challenges, facilitating discovery sessions, whiteboarding solution concepts, and presenting to executive audiences. You thrive in fast-moving environments, take ownership, learn quickly, and bring a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset to every opportunity.
If you're curious, customer-obsessed, eager to learn, and excited to help shape business growth, we'd love to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Sales to drive customer engagements from discovery through solution design and technical validation.
- Lead customer discovery sessions to uncover business goals, challenges, and success criteria.
- Translate customer needs into impactful solution strategies that create measurable business value.
- Design, whiteboard, and present solution architectures that resonate with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Deliver compelling demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts.
- Build trusted relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
- Support RFx responses and technical aspects of the sales cycle.
- Build and manage technical relationships with the partner eco-system in your region.
- Act as the voice of the customer and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer challenges.
- Actively participate in trade shows, seminars and online events.
- Roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to move opportunities forward and help customers succeed.
What We're Looking For
Mindset
- Strong customer-first mentality with a passion for solving business problems.
- Curious, inquisitive, and naturally skilled at discovery.
- Growth mindset with a continuous desire to learn and improve.
- Hands-on and action-oriented; willing to dive into technical details when needed.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven, comfortable operating with ambiguity.
- Confident and influential without ego.
- Team player who values collaboration and shared success.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and customer value.
- Strong listening, presentation, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Experience leading workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and executive conversations.
- Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, and web technologies such as REST and JSON.
- Experience in cybersecurity, digital identity, authentication, fraud prevention, or related technology domains.
- Basic scripting skills (JavaScript, Python, or similar).
- Ability to engage confidently with both senior business leaders and technical teams.
- Willingness to travel within the UKI region (approximately 25%).
Bonus Points
- Experience in financial services, banking, or regulated industries.
- Mobile application development experience.
- Experience with SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
What Success Looks Like
You ask great questions before offering answers. You listen more than you speak. You simplify complexity, build trust quickly, and help customers connect technology investments to business outcomes. Most importantly, you bring energy, curiosity, and a can-do attitude that helps customers and colleagues succeed.
