Solution Architect Data Marketplace

Job Description

Solution Architect Data Marketplace

Shape trusted data access through secure and scalable Data Marketplace solutions across organisational domains.

You & your role

Shape the architecture of Rabobank’s Data Marketplace and Data Catalog as a Solution Architect Data Marketplace. You translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions and a clear architectural roadmap.

In practice, you guide delivery teams, align product, engineering, governance and business stakeholders, and assess new technology through structured research and proofs of concept.

Examples from practice

• Define how colleagues can discover, understand and request access to trusted data.
• Assess how artificial intelligence can improve search, recommendations and automation responsibly.
• Help delivery teams resolve architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt without slowing delivery.

Facts & figures

• 36 hours per week.
• Over 48,000 Rabobank colleagues worldwide.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Own and develop the architectural vision and roadmap for Data Marketplace and Data Catalog capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technology using transparent criteria, structured research and evidence from proofs of concept.
• Coach engineers and multidisciplinary teams in implementing architectural decisions and increasing their architectural capability.

You balance long-term architectural direction with short-term delivery. You make risks and trade-offs transparent and support security, privacy, compliance and technology-risk requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.

Together we achieve more than alone

We believe in the power of differences. By combining people’s differences, we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you will bring to our team.

The colleagues of Global Data & Analytics Platform develop capabilities that help Rabobank colleagues discover, understand and access trusted data. Collaboration is our way of working, as one technical team within Rabobank. You work with product management, engineers, business stakeholders, governance teams and architecture colleagues.

Work on yourself & the world around you

For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That is why we want to invest in you and work together to create a better world. We summarise this in one sentence: “At Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you simultaneously.”

This is reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid work environment and a good work-life balance. You can also work on banking matters for our personal and business clients, as well as on social issues such as the food and energy transitions.

Why everyone is welcome at Rabobank

At Rabobank, we are working towards a culture where everyone feels welcome. We value our differences and use them to collaborate more effectively and make better decisions. We do this step by step, paying attention to what is going well and to the areas where we can continue to improve. By being open to different perspectives, we are creating an environment where colleagues feel heard. That helps us build an organisation where people enjoy working and where we truly understand and serve our customers.

You & your talent

• Proven Solution Architect experience, or equivalent architectural responsibility, in a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions, target architectures and architectural roadmaps from business and product requirements.
• Experience with software platforms for data catalogues or data marketplaces, preferably Collibra.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business, architecture, governance and engineering domains.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical decisions to different audiences.
• Strategic and pragmatic decision-making skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and manage ambiguity.
