Software Engineering Graduate Programme FY28

Application Deadline: 25 October 2026

Department: Technology Ireland

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Dublin

Compensation: €35,000 / year

Description

Technology is changing the world faster than ever before – and at the heart of every great change is a great human. If you have ideas, ingenuity and a passion for making a difference, come and be a part of our team.

Every day around the world, we work with exceptional people, the latest and greatest tech and leading companies across industries.

You’ll learn, grow and advance in a diverse culture of shared success, where we’ll empower you to bring your skills, your curiosity and your best true self to your work.

Join us and do extraordinary things.

On this programme, you can expect to be working directly with our clients to help deliver projects using some of the most advanced technologies on the market. You will help drive and deliver business transformation, develop industry-leading specialist skills, and help transform our clients around the world. This will include designing, building, testing and deploying strategic solutions for our clients.

As a key member of project teams, you’ll work side by side with our clients in a variety of roles, understanding the challenges and requirements, helping to formulate a plan of action and collaborating with local and global teams to deliver innovative solutions.

As an Analyst in Software Engineering, we are looking for people with an interest in getting hands-on with technology. But we don’t expect you to know it all. Depending on the nature of the project we will train you in technologies such as Java/J2EE, C#, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React and Angular.js but as it is with Tech – this changes constantly and at Accenture, we stay current.

While you might be coming into Software Engineering, writing code won’t be the full day job and we know that you will want to gain other skills within Business and Consulting, so we’ll also train you in the best delivery practices such as DevOps, Cloud, Agile, Generative AI & Accenture Delivery Methods. You will also get the opportunity to gain industry certifications across various technologies and delivery methodologies.

What We're Looking For

On the Software Engineering Graduate Programme, we’re looking for a passion to grow and develop, a desire for self-improvement, a curious mind, and a strong work ethic. You will bring a creative and innovative mindset to your work and clients while ensuring the highest quality work delivered on time.

We’re also looking for you to demonstrate a passion for technology in either your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.

For Software Engineering, IT skills are essential. You will need a degree in IT, computer science, or a technology-related subject with a minimum 2:1 classification, obtained or predicted. However, if you have a real passion and flair for technology, as well as an understanding of how it can be used, we will consider a maths, science, or engineering degree. We expect you to have a real interest in software engineering and end-to-end design and delivery, and you’ll know a thing or two about programming.

What's In It For You?

Training & Development

We believe that your career is your adventure. All this training, experience and client exposure is focused on turning you into an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies whilst developing and sustaining the skills our client's demand.

What you know is what we can sell to our clients. So, we’ll invest in your development from your first day. And realising you need to be up-to-speed as soon as possible, we’ll make sure you have all the training you need. As well as an award-winning induction programme and a supportive graduate community within the Technology Analyst Group, you can look forward to mentoring from some of our most successful leaders. The training you’ll receive will be broad and practical. It will combine sessions that focus on critical soft skills as well as the technical skills you’ll need to develop into a trusted and successful Tech Consultant.

You’ll join us in one of our Dublin offices on your first day and we will run an intense 5-week training programme with you, predominantly in person learning every day where possible, to give you our full attention and have you ready to rock as soon as possible.

All training will help you get the all-round skills for success, but it will be your experience that will really make the difference, which is why the variety of live project work we’ll give you will be so important.

We are also dedicated to your continued learning, which means it doesn’t stop after week 5. We will provide you with a training plan that will guide you through the full Analyst programme and turn you into the Technology Consultant you were made to be.

Rewards & Benefits

At Accenture, in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package. You can read up about some of these benefits here.
