Want to build software that powers some of the biggest events in Europe? At See Tickets, your code helps fans get into Tomorrowland, Defqon.1, Paradiso, and Dutch Design Week. From buying tickets in white-label shops, to setting up events in merchant dashboards, to handling payments and automated payouts, our applications make it all happen.

You’ll join our international team in Groningen, working on the core services of our ticketing platform: high-traffic shops, event management tools, and payment systems used by millions of fans and organisers. High-volume, high-impact, and never boring.

What you’ll do

• Build backend services in Python (Flask / FastAPI) for our ticketing platform.
• Develop applications and tools fans and organisers use every day (shops, event management, payment services).
• Create new features that support our international growth.
• Write clean, testable, and reliable code that scales.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to solve real problems.

Why this role is exciting

• Your work is visible: fans use it to buy tickets, organisers to set up events, and merchants to get paid.
• You’ll work across everything from high-traffic ticket shops to payout automation services.
• Be part of architectural discussions that shape the future of our platform.
• Review code, share knowledge, and grow alongside a skilled engineering team.
• Mentor junior developers and help shape how we work as a team.

Our stack

• Testing: Pytest, Selenium
• Approach: Agile-ish - sprints, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and a constant drive to improve.

What we expect

• Around 5 years of professional backend development experience (2+ with Python).
• Strong experience building APIs, integrating external APIs, and working with relational databases.
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Strong communication skills, you enjoy solving problems together and value constructive feedback.
• Based in (or open to relocating to) Groningen, visa sponsorship and relocation support are available.
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

What you’ll get

• Relocation budget if you’re moving to Groningen.
• Hybrid working (2 days remote per week after onboarding).
• Career development support: coaching, training, and clear progression paths.
• Remote working budget + a laptop of your choice.
• Mental health support via OpenUp.
• Access to the events we support + monthly socials and company parties.
• A fun, international team that loves what we do.
• And of course: team lunches & Friday drinks.
