Backend software engineer at an applied-AI/IoT company building an operations platform for smart warehouses and logistics hubs. Day to day: build Python/FastAPI services to ingest IoT, energy-meter and video data, integrate vendor APIs and RTSP streams, deploy AI models (YOLO, LLMs) as microservices on AWS, and run real-time data pipelines feeding operational dashboards.
Why This Role Matters:
We're building the brains of modern operations. Whether it's a logistics hub, a smart warehouse, or a tech-enabled facility, we bring together IoT, AI, and automation to drive efficiency and intelligence. As a Software Engineer, you'll turn fragmented systems into one smooth, data-driven platform - unlocking insights, automating routine tasks, and making operations smarter by design.
What You'll Do:
Develop backend services to ingest and process data from IoT devices, energy meters, and video analytics.
Integrate with vendor APIs and SDKs (e.g., MQTT brokers, HTTP/REST APIs, camera RTSP streams).
Deploy and wrap AI models (e.g., YOLO, LLMs) as microservices or cloud functions.
Build pipelines to store, clean, and analyze real-time data.
Work closely with frontend engineers to deliver data and insights to dashboards.
Participate in product design discussions, help evaluate third-party hardware/software.
Collaborate with frontend developers to surface critical insights on operational dashboards.
What You Bring:
1-2 years in hands-on software development (Python preferred).
Experience building APIs(REST, FastAPI) and deploying on cloud platforms (especially AWS).
Familiarity with Docker, Git, and basic DevOps workflows.
Exposure to AI/ML models, even if it's just deploying or integrating them into workflows.
Comfortable reading vendor docs, testing SDKs, and troubleshooting real-world device setups.
Bonus Points for:
MQTT or other message brokere xperience.
Interest in automation for logistics, robotics in warehouses, or smart building controls.
Familiarity with Anthropic's MCP or similar model orchestration frameworks.
Required:
Bachelor's degree
(or higher) in one of the following fields:
Computer Science
Electrical or Computer Engineering
Mechatronics
Robotics
Information Systems
Data Science (with strong software/IoT background)
Preferred or Bonus Experience:
Hands-on experience with IoTdevice integration
AI/ML deployment knowledge
Experience working in logistics, warehousing, or facilities automation
