Why This Organisation
Our client is a next generation cloud security platform company that uses runtime context to identify and prioritise critical risks across cloud infrastructure. Unlike traditional security tooling, they take a proactive approach - using real time runtime data for risk prioritisation and posture insights so engineering teams can focus on what actually matters. With eBPF powered sensors, agentless cloud posture discovery, real time threat protection and integrated API security, their platform delivers end to end cloud infrastructure protection across all major cloud providers.
This is a technically ambitious organisation solving genuinely hard problems at scale, and they are building their engineering function in Belfast. The office is in Custom House Square - one of the most impressive working environments in the city - and the team faces complex engineering challenges every day, solving new problems while constantly improving existing solutions. If you are an engineer who wants to work on real world security problems with a modern stack and real autonomy, this is worth your attention.
The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career
This is a Backend Engineer position within a high performing engineering team working across all major cloud providers with a cutting edge technology stack. You will take full ownership of the lifecycle of projects from initial design through to deployment, monitoring and maintenance in production. You will contribute to technical and architectural designs, perform reliability and performance analysis and work closely with teams across Frontend, DevOps and Product to deliver high quality features.
The career value here is significant. You will be working on distributed systems problems across cloud native infrastructure in a domain - cloud security - that is growing faster than almost any other area of technology. The eBPF and runtime security domain is technically demanding and the experience you build here, across Golang, Kubernetes, Neo4j, TimescaleDB and multi-cloud infrastructure, builds a CV that travels. The salary range reflects the breadth of experience levels the team is open to - whether you are an engineer early in your career looking to grow fast or someone more senior looking for a technically exciting environment, this is worth exploring.
