Builds and hardens a financial platform ahead of production launch: ledgers, exactly-once payment processing, settlement/reconciliation workflows, and multi-tenant security. Core stack is Java 17/Spring Boot with MySQL and MongoDB, plus React/TypeScript portal work and Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform infrastructure.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to help prepare a financial platform for production launch. This role focuses on financial correctness, payment processing, reconciliation, scalability, and system reliability. You will work within an existing codebase, enhancing and extending critical functionality while ensuring production readiness.
Build and improve ledger and financial transaction systems.
Implement exactly-once processing and idempotency controls.
Design and maintain settlement and reconciliation workflows.
Handle ACH payments, payout processing, and exception scenarios.
Strengthen multi-tenant architecture and data security.
Improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release quality.
Contribute to React/TypeScript portal enhancements as needed.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure platform stability.
3+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot (or similar typed backend technologies).
Experience working on payments, banking, lending, insurance, payroll, marketplaces, or other regulated systems.
Deep expertise in at least one area:
Payment processing & settlement
Double-entry accounting/ledgers
Multi-tenant security
Distributed systems & consistency
Strong SQL knowledge including transactions, locking, and isolation levels.
Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
Java 17, Spring Boot, MySQL, MongoDB, React, TypeScript, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, JUnit, Playwright.
