A 4.5-month internship (12-week scoped project) on Docusign's Observability Engineering team, building and scaling telemetry pipelines that process metrics, logs, and traces. Day-to-day work involves backend services in Golang, Java, or Python, Kubernetes on Azure/GCP, and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ClickHouse, in a hybrid arrangement from Seattle.
Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
The Observability Engineering team within Cloud & Production Engineering builds and operates the platforms that provide real-time visibility into the health, performance, and reliability of Docusign services. As a Software Engineer Intern - Observability (Platform), you will help build and scale telemetry pipelines that process high volumes of metrics, logs, and traces. You will also contribute to the services that move this data reliably through the observability platform.
You will collaborate with engineers across infrastructure and product teams to improve how operational data is collected, processed, and exposed so teams can monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their systems at scale. During the internship, you will work with a mentor and teammates to deliver and demonstrate a scoped 12-week project focused on telemetry pipelines, platform scale, or service reliability.
This is an internship role for 4.5 months of duration.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering.
