Intermediate or senior Software Engineer at Gallagher Security in Hamilton, NZ, building the digital and mobile credential capabilities of its access-control product: designing and maintaining cloud-integrated services, REST APIs, and secure, scalable systems in an agile product team. Core stack is C#, SQL databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server), and CI/CD with Azure Pipelines or GitHub Workflows.
Our purpose at Gallagher is ‘Protect what matters most’ and we live it every day, whether that’s protecting the world’s highest security environments or agricultural businesses, we care deeply about our people, their families, and our wider communities.

As we expand our Hamilton-based teams, this is your chance to be part of a true Kiwi tech success story making a global impact. If you’re driven by passion and purpose to protect what matters most, come help shape the future of what’s possible with us.
This is an opportunity to join a product-focused engineering team that plays a critical role in shaping how our customers access and experience their workplace. The team designs, builds, and evolves the digital capabilities that enable customers to seamlessly provision, manage, and use their physical and mobile credentials across their workplace and broader ecosystem.
We have two opportunities available within this team: one suited to an intermediate developer ready to deepen their technical capability, and one senior role for someone who can bring strong technical ownership, influence engineering direction, and support others to deliver high-quality outcomes.
As a Software Engineer in this team, you’ll work on systems that are foundational to identity, access, and trust. Your work will directly impact customer onboarding, day-to-day usability, and overall confidence in our solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and intuitive experiences that balance technical excellence with a strong understanding of customer needs.
These roles offer the chance to work on meaningful customer-facing problems at scale, contribute to modern software engineering practices, and help shape solutions that sit at the intersection of digital and physical experiences. They’re well suited to developers who enjoy ownership, continuous improvement, and building products that customers rely on every day.
