Avalon Healthcare Solutions is hiring a junior remote software engineer to design, build, and support custom applications, portals, data exchanges, and integrations in an Agile environment. Core work involves SQL-based development and a middleware stack including Spring Boot, Kafka, Drools, Docker, and AWS, with quarterly travel to the Tampa, FL office.

About the Software Engineer I Position:
Avalon’s Software Engineer I must support Avalon projects through the use of software development tools under limited supervision using prescribed methodologies. You will analyze, design, develop, document and support various custom applications, portals, data exchanges, services and integration with other applications and systems to support the evolving needs of the company. Jr. software Engineers must work collaboratively with other technical and business resources, and they must use professional judgment in asking for assistance, discussing ideas, and seeking necessary approvals. Jr. Software Engineers will follow the defined Avalon change management process in the creation of their work products.
This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.
