Overview Software Engineer role at International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) . Location: The Hague, Netherlands Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (renewable) At INSO, we are looking for a Software Developer to design, build, and maintain tools that help the humanitarian community stay safe in conflict zones. You’ll work on major projects such as the Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre and the INSO Partner Portal, delivering secure, scalable, and data-driven solutions to support NGOs worldwide. What You’ll Do Build and maintain robust frontend & backend solutions across INSO platforms. Design secure, scalable data management and integration systems. Develop automated pipelines & container orchestration. Continuously improve systems in response to the evolving needs of humanitarian work. What We’re Looking For 2+ years’ experience in Angular + backend work in Java. Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of application and data security. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Nice to Have Flutter, VM server management, DNS, or prior NGO/humanitarian experience. Why INSO?
