Senior engineer building mission-critical eDiscovery software for a global legal-tech provider: designing .NET/C# services backed by PostgreSQL, owning features from concept to production, using AI development tooling daily, debugging live incidents, and mentoring junior engineers. Onsite in Mexico City for the first 1-2 weeks, then remote with occasional office visits.
- **Position:** Senior Software Engineer
- **Work arrangement:** Candidates will be required to work onsite during the first 1–2 weeks of onboarding; after this period the position is remote, with availability to work from the Mexico City office whenever needed.
- **About the company:** Our client is a global provider of AI-powered legal technology, eDiscovery, digital forensics, information governance, and data recovery solutions. The organization helps law firms, corporations, and government agencies navigate complex litigation, compliance, investigation, and data management challenges through innovative technology and specialized professional services.
- **About the role:** As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical eDiscovery software used by legal teams around the world. This is a hands-on engineering position where you will own features from concept to production, leveraging modern AI development tools while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and accountability. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable software solutions, has strong experience with .NET/C# and PostgreSQL, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- **Responsibilities:** Design and implement features in .NET/C# services backed by PostgreSQL and write automated tests; investigate and resolve production issues while tracing problems through the stack; use AI tooling daily for code generation, review, testing, and debugging, verifying its output before it ships; mentor junior engineers (including on responsible and effective use of AI in software development); contribute to design discussions and code reviews that keep the codebase healthy.
- **Skills and experience:** 5+ years of professional software development experience in .NET/C#; solid PostgreSQL experience, including schema design and query performance; experience building and supporting scalable systems; a habit of automated testing; experience owning production systems — debugging, resolving, and learning from live incidents; daily fluency with AI development tooling, paired with the judgment to verify and take responsibility for what it produces; strong written and spoken communication, suited to distributed teams working across time zones.
- **Mission:** Our mission is to bring clarity, trust, and meaning to data for clients navigating legal matters worldwide.
- **Core values:** *Client is Always in the Room* — we operate and make decisions as if the client is in the room, anticipating their needs and prioritizing their best interests; *Better Every Day* — we improve our tomorrow by always striving to be better than today, embracing curiosity and questioning assumptions; *Own the Outcome* — we act with urgency, hold ourselves accountable, and maintain a bias for action; *Deliver Results Together* — we collaborate obsessively to achieve shared success, assume good intentions, debate ideas thoughtfully, treat each other with respect, and fully commit once decisions are made.
