Dabster Systems Ireland Limited is hiring an on-site Software Engineer in Stanwell Moor, Staines to build software using strong C++ skills, with PostgreSQL relational database work (data modelling and schema design) in a Linux/Unix environment. Python and Java are a bonus, and strong recent graduates or juniors with a few years of commercial experience are welcome.

Requirements:- BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong academic background; high-achieving recent graduates and junior engineers with a few years of commercial experience are welcome
- Strong, demonstrable C++ coding skills; Python and Java knowledge are a bonus
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including data modelling and schema design
- Comfort and capability working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Familiarity with or hands-on experience using container runtimes and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
- Good grasp of networking protocols and application security fundamentals
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions, primarily using C++
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement data models and relational database designs using PostgreSQL
- Work in Linux/Unix environments to support the smooth deployment and operation of services
- Use containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes to deploy and scale applications
- Apply networking and security fundamentals to help systems meet banking compliance and performance standards
- Gain exposure to or use existing Go/Golang skills for specific microservices and system components
