ai& is a new global AI technology company dedicated to meeting the world's growing demand for AI. Our vision is twofold: to serve as a premier AI lab specializing in localization, and to act as a global infrastructure and compute provider. We are building a unified, optimized global platform that integrates next-generation data centers and infrastructure, heterogeneous compute serving, and advanced model services. We believe that the most effective way to build and scale AI is to own the stack from top to bottom.

At ai&, we empower small teams with the autonomy needed to tackle significant challenges. Our approach is to deconstruct large problems into manageable components and solve complex issues collaboratively. We seek highly motivated, mission-driven individuals who demonstrate strong personal agency. We value curiosity as the foundation of talent, and we are looking for people eager to develop alongside our evolving technology and expanding business.

We are actively hiring worldwide, with presence in Tokyo, SF, Austin, and Toronto. We are more than happy to meet exceptional talent where they are.

Build.io is an ai& company.

Build cloud platform for teams who want to ship product, not manage infrastructure.

AI and data centers are dominating the developer experience today. Join a team that is delivering leading edge tooling for teams that build products at speed. Be part of the team that maintains Build.io’s PaaS that handles at-scale customers in the US, EU and Japan. You’ll be exposed to the entire modern product development stack, from network and infrastructure design, all the way up to automated builds and AI-integrated pipelines.

We are looking for eager learners, and we will invest in your growth. We have a strong team spirit to support each other’s development and encourage intellectual curiosity. An ideal candidate may have an advanced technical degree, or experience in one or more parts of the stack, or be self-taught or cross-trained under their own independent motivation to explore the space.

Our small but growing team includes hardware and AI delivery experts, security specialists and active open source and kernel contributors.

If you have the desire to keep your skills relevant and help design tooling for the AI development community, we welcome you to apply.

The Role

You’ll join a small, highly technical team working across Build.io’s platform and the broader modern development stack. This is a hands-on role for someone who is curious, adaptable, and excited to keep learning across infrastructure, tooling, and product development.

You’ll help improve the systems and workflows that power our PaaS, while also supporting technical customer needs, sales implementations, and the team’s on-call rotation when needed.

What You’ll Do

● Contribute to the development of Build.io’s PaaS across different parts of the stack

● Build and improve tooling, systems, and workflows that support modern product development

● Work across software, infrastructure, and automation depending on team needs

● Help troubleshoot customer issues and support technical implementations

● Assist with sales-related technical questions and demos when needed

● Participate in the on-call rotation and support production systems responsibly

● Learn from and collaborate with a multidisciplinary technical team

What We’re Looking For

● Degree in Computer Science or self-taught and comfortable with advanced peers

● 3+ years of professional software development experience

● Comfort developing alongside AI tooling, ideally asking for token limits to be raised

● Positive attitude teammate that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and support technical customer needs, sales implementations, and participate in on-call rotation

Nice to Have

● Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

● Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKS, or CKAD

● Security-related certifications, or demonstrable experience working on security-focused engineering problems

● Experience working on infrastructure, platform, or developer tooling products

● Familiarity with cloud environments and modern deployment workflows

Hiring Process

We’ll review all resumes and reach out to successful candidates to start the following process:

● Initial conversation to align on background, role fit and answer initial questions

● Technical interview focused on software engineering experience and problem-solving

● Practical exercise or working session relevant to the role

● Final interview with leadership
