Seoul Robotics is seeking an Autonomy Software Engineer to develop and maintain core planning, control, and estimation pipelines for autonomous driving systems. The role involves writing robust C++ and Python code to improve system reliability and performance in a collaborative, international environment.
About Seoul Robotics
Seoul Robotics builds autonomous driving systems for factories, ports, logistics yards, and airports. We offer two approaches: a vehicle-centric system, where autonomy runs on the vehicle itself, and an infrastructure-centric system, where the site coordinates and drives vehicles. That lets us automate whole operations, not just one vehicle at a time.
We work with global automakers and industry leaders, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Volvo CE, Mando, LG, and SKT. We are expanding quickly across ports, logistics yards, and airports.
We are an international team with members from more than 10 countries. English is our working language.

About the Role
We are looking for an Autonomy Software Engineer to help build and scale core autonomy capabilities. This is a product engineering role for people who enjoy shipping real systems: designing clean software, developing new features, improving reliability, and delivering measurable impact in real operations. The role is best suited for early-career to mid-level engineers who are ready to grow their technical ownership while working on real-world autonomy systems. Experience in robotics or autonomous driving is a plus, not a strict requirement.
What You Will Do
- Build and improve core autonomy functionality in planning, control, and estimation pipelines
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Python and C++ software for production use
- Help translate product and operational needs into practical technical solutions
- Improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability across modules
- Investigate complex issues using logs, simulation, and operational data, and contribute to durable fixes
- Develop test and validation workflows to support safe and confident releases
- Contribute to engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and better development practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on C++ development experience
- Solid grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and geometry, and the ability to translate mathematical concepts into working software
- Experience developing non-trivial software systems through professional work, research, or substantial projects
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including the ability to investigate issues systematically
- Experience writing clean, testable, maintainable code
- Effective collaboration and communication skills in team environments
- Willingness to take responsibility for assigned problems and follow them through implementation and validation
Preferred Qualifications
- Robotics, autonomous driving, or other real-time/safety-critical system experience
- Practical understanding of planning, control, and/or state estimation systems
- Experience with simulation-based development and validation
- Experience with Linux-based development and CI/CD workflows
- Experience owning a software feature or component from implementation through testing and integration
Leveling (Junior/Mid)
- Junior-level engineers are expected to contribute to features and modules with guidance, while developing stronger system-level understanding and gradually taking on more ownership
- Mid-level engineers are expected to independently own features or modules, make sound implementation decisions, and contribute to technical design
Why Join Us
- Work on autonomy software that controls individual vehicles and entire fleets in real-world deployment, where your decisions directly affect safety and performance
- Collaborate with a strong cross-functional team solving practical, high-value problems
- Grow from hands-on execution to larger technical ownership over time
Recruitment Process
Application Review - Tech Interviews (2-3 rounds) - CEO Screening - Reference Check - Offer
(Please be aware that the recruitment processes & schedules may be changed depending on the job and/or other circumstances)
