Software Development Consultant - Backend

About Xebia

We’re at a pivotal point in our journey. Xebia is scaling globally and continuing to invest heavily in engineering excellence, cloud-native development, and AI-driven innovation. For us, consulting is about more than delivering code. It’s about partnering with organisations to design, build, and evolve the systems that power their businesses. Our teams work on complex software challenges across industries, combining deep technical expertise with a pragmatic consulting mindset. At the same time, we’ve built a community where people come first. Our consultants are encouraged to grow into advisors and thought leaders whether that means contributing to open source, speaking at meetups, publishing blogs, or mentoring the next generation of engineers.

The Software Development Practice

Within Xebia Software Development, we focus on building high-quality, scalable backend systems using modern engineering practices. Our consultants work with clients across the Benelux to design and build distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, AI-driven applications, and business-critical software solutions.

Our engineering culture is deeply rooted in craftsmanship. Clean code, automated testing, continuous delivery, strong architectural thinking, and pragmatic AI adoption are at the heart of everything we do. We believe great software is built by teams that learn from each other, challenge each other, and continuously improve.

You’ll be part of a community of engineers who are passionate about technology and eager to share knowledge - whether through internal guilds, tech sessions, contributions to the wider developer ecosystem, or exploring the latest developments in AI engineering.
