Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 per year

About the role

As Pitch Black Group continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Software Developer to help improve the way our people, processes and technology work together. Reporting to the Technology Manager, you'll work within a small internal Technology Team alongside other developers, a Business Analyst and technology leadership. This is an opportunity to accelerate your career in a modern development environment where you'll grow from contributor to technical leader.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate in design workshops with stakeholders and developers to architect solutions aligned with business requirements

• Develop automations and integrations across Power Platform, Nexus, and Azure web apps

• Design and develop web applications for engineering project management

• Build and maintain modern, scalable business applications

• Participate actively in architectural and technical discussions, contributing your perspective

• Contribute meaningfully to open-source projects

• Develop AI-enhanced applications using modern practices

• Learn and apply AI-native development workflows alongside the team

• Mentor junior team members as you grow into the role

About you

• 3-8 years of professional software development experience (languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar)

• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and best practices

• Experience with at least one modern development framework or platform

• Strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills

• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technologies

• Comfortable learning new technologies and platforms quickly

• Comfortable working with remote teams, demonstrating a high degree of collaboration and communication

• Interest in contributing to open-source projects

• Experience with Power Platform, Azure, or similar cloud platforms (highly regarded)

• Demonstrable open-source contributions (highly regarded)
