Role Purpose:
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who combines strategic thinking with exceptional content creation capabilities. This role is responsible for transforming YOOX's social channels into powerful engines of brand awareness, cultural relevance and community engagement. Success requires equal confidence in defining long-term platform strategies, identifying emerging cultural shifts and personally creating content that feels authentic, timely and native to each platform.
Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
Own and continuously evolve YOOX's global social media strategy, defining the role, objectives and success metrics of each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and future channels) to support brand awareness, engagement and business priorities.
Develop platform-native content approaches that recognize the unique purpose, audience and language of each channel, ensuring content is tailored to platform behavior rather than repurposed across channels.
Act as a hands-on content creator, ideating, producing and publishing original social-first content, from short-form video and behind-the-scenes storytelling to reactive and experimental formats, using a mobile-first approach.
Identify, interpret and activate cultural and social trends, translating emerging conversations, platform features and creator behaviors into timely, relevant content that increases visibility, engagement and cultural relevance.
Build and nurture digital communities by creating content that encourages participation, conversation and advocacy, while defining the community engagement strategy and tone of voice across all social platforms.
Own the end-to-end social editorial strategy, balancing long-term campaigns, always-on storytelling and reactive content. Identify opportunities to collaborate with creators, influencers and cultural partners to develop platform-native content and social-first partnerships that expand YOOX's reach, strengthen brand credibility and drive meaningful engagement.
Collaborate closely with Brand, Creative, PR, Influencer Marketing, Merchandising and E-commerce teams to translate campaigns, launches and cultural initiatives into compelling social experiences that extend beyond campaign adaptation.
Continuously test, experiment and optimize, introducing new formats, storytelling techniques, creator collaborations and content concepts, using rapid testing and audience insights to evolve YOOX's social presence.
Manage the social media budget, ensuring investments are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
Monitor, analyze and report performance, identifying actionable insights across content, audience behavior and platform performance to continuously refine strategy, improve engagement and maximize organic reach.
Champion social-first thinking across the organization, acting as the internal expert on platform evolution, digital culture and audience behavior, ensuring YOOX remains relevant, distinctive and ahead of emerging social trends.
The type of person we are looking for:
3+ years' experience managing social media for a fashion, luxury, lifestyle or multi-brand brand (e-commerce preferred).
Proven experience developing social strategies that grow brand awareness, engagement and thriving online communities.
Strong content creator with hands-on experience producing platform-native content, especially short-form video. If your camera roll is full of content ideas, even better.
Deep understanding of social platforms, digital culture and trends, with the instinct to know which ones to jump on, and which ones to let pass.
Experience collaborating with creators and influencers to develop authentic, social-first campaigns and content.
Strong analytical and commercial mindset, using insights to improve performance and align social activity with business objectives.
Naturally curious, creatively restless and impossible to surprise with a TikTok trend. Always testing, learning and looking for the next idea worth sharing.
A strong sense of humour. Social media should entertain as much as it engages.
