The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with an international food trading company and we are hiring for an Shipping & Procurement Coordinator to join their team. The role manage complex international shipments from planning through delivery while supporting the sourcing and procurement of warehouses, transportation and other logistics services.
- Full-time, permanent opportunity
- Work location: Central region
- Work Days: Mon-Fri, 9am - 6pm
The Job:
- Manage international shipments from planning through delivery, coordinating with customers, suppliers, warehouses and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with Incoterms, international trade requirements and relevant industry standards while maintaining accurate ERP records.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies and customer escalations, minimising disruptions to the supply chain.
- Monitor shipment costs and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve workflows through standardisation, automation and digital solutions.
- Build market knowledge of warehouse and inland transportation providers across APAC, beginning with Oceania.
- Manage RFQs, quotation analysis, supplier evaluation and negotiations, and support the finalisation, onboarding and implementation of logistics supplier contracts.
- Track supplier performance and procurement savings, partnering with Finance and Global Procurement on validation, cost-reduction initiatives and other supply chain sourcing projects.
The Talent:
- Strong hands-on experience in export operations or international freight management, including shipping documentation, Incoterms and trade compliance.
- Able to manage complex shipments, operational exceptions and customer escalations independently.
- Experience in RFQs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, contracts or logistics procurement.
- Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to assess quotations and balance service, risk and cost considerations.
- Prior experience managing warehouse or inland transportation suppliers and knowledge of Letter of Credit requirements will be advantageous.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office 365, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across regional and global stakeholders.
