Shift Leader-Swift Creek

Gelati Celesti Ice Cream is looking for a talented Shift Leader to join our Swift Creek team!

About Us

We think we have the best job in the world, and we absolutely love what we do. Since day one, Gelati Celesti has been about handcrafting premium ice cream and serving it with genuine warmth. We enjoy indulging in our ice cream as much as we do scooping it for others, and with every scoop we serve, we offer our customers a sweet moment of joy.

Our Culture

Joy is at the heart of everything we do, and it starts with our team. We believe great ice cream is made even better by the people behind the counter, which is why we work hard to build a workplace that is upbeat, supportive, and sincerely caring. As a Shift Leader, you'll help set that tone every day: celebrating wins with your team, communicating openly and positively, coaching in the moment, and making sure every team member and every customer feels welcome. If you lead with kindness, energy, and a genuine love of connecting with people, you'll fit right in.

About the Role

As a Shift Leader, you will lead store operations when the Assistant Manager or General Manager is not present. We'll expect you to lead by example with a positive attitude and good old-fashioned hard work, focusing on product quality, strong team leadership, and supreme customer service. We're looking for someone with a natural ability to connect with people, who enthusiastically guides their team to deliver a moment of joy to each and every customer.

This is a year-round position, and we're looking for someone ready to grow with us beyond the summer rush.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading, motivating, and supporting your team during each shift
• Modeling and communicating our culture: setting a positive tone, giving in-the-moment feedback, and keeping the team informed and engaged
• Ordering product and maintaining accurate inventory
• Enforcing food safety regulations and health standards in a clean, organized work area
• Maintaining an effective and positive environment while staying current on changes, new menu items, and procedures
• Delivering supreme customer service and resolving customer concerns with care

Requirements:

• 1 year of management or leadership experience in a retail environment preferred
• Year-round availability required - this is not a seasonal position
• Must have opening AND closing availability, including daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with constant moving, bending, lifting, reaching, and turning during all shifts
• Ability to reach and grasp with hands; talk and hear from far away and in close proximity; taste and smell
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds or more

Estimated hourly wage with tips is $16–$19
