Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Sysco, with its UK operating companies including Brakes, Fresh Direct, KFF, and Medina, is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Service Design & Transition Manager to join our dynamic Business Technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring that new and enhanced technology services are seamlessly transitioned into live operations, supporting around 4,000 users across the UK.
Your Role
In this hybrid working position, you'll spend two days a week in our Ashford office, so being within a commutable distance is essential. You will collaborate closely with a variety of internal stakeholders, strategic vendors, and outsourced partners to ensure that new services and system enhancements are introduced smoothly and effectively, minimizing operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of Service Design and Transition across Business Technology.
- Define and maintain standards, processes, and governance for introducing new and upgraded services into production.
- Act as the key link between project delivery and operational support teams.
- Ensure services are fully supported, risks are managed effectively, and service readiness activities are completed successfully.
- Drive continuous service improvement and develop robust service models.
- Oversee design and transition activities across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure services deliver value, performance, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a candidate with:
- Significant experience in a complex IT service environment.
- A strong understanding of ITIL Service Management principles.
- Experience in defining Service Design and Transition frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- The ability to balance operational risk with business requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
While not mandatory, the following would be advantageous:
- ITIL qualifications.
- Experience with change, problem, and major incident management.
- A degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
- A solid understanding of enterprise technologies and service architectures.
- Experience in outsourced managed service environments.
