Senior UX Designer

At Oda, we develop affordable grocery services to make the logistics of living surprisingly easy. First we built Norway’s leading online grocery store and now, partnered with Mathem in Sweden, we’re on our way to becoming the world’s most effective retail system, delivering to thousands of Scandinavian doorsteps every week.

As part of our team, you’ll work with smart, passionate colleagues who bring their whole selves to work every day. It’s a fast-moving, collaborative environment where everyone is welcome and everyone’s opinion matters. Whether you're shaping the future of online retail, tackling complex logistical problems, or making everyday life better for our customers, your work will have a real impact.

Our world-class logistics and tech solutions allow us to reduce food waste, save time and money, and ease the mental and physical load for people who want more space for life.

We are also looking to become a logistics systems provider within the grocery market by commercializing our hardware and software blueprint - check out Oda systems!

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join Oda's logistics!

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join Oda’s Logistics platform. In this role, you'll focus on creating the best possible user experience for our employees working at our fulfillment center - the beating heart of our operations, where people and technology unite to bring Oda deliveries to life.

You’ll be collaborating closely with a product manager, software developers, and data analysts in a cross-disciplinary team. Together, you’ll ensure digital tools and physical processes work seamlessly. You’ll work on complex workflows, collaborate with end users (our operations colleagues), and see projects go live. You'll work with software in combination with physical machinery, physical space, and operator routines. This makes logistics very exciting and satisfying to work with.

In Oda, UX really means the full user experience, encompassing service design and digital design. If you are a full-stack designer who loves every stage of design, from discovering user insights to bringing exciting, functional solutions to life - this is your next career step!

What you’ll be doing as Senior UX Designer

Our cross-functional teams are focused on specific problem areas or stages of Oda’s production and customer journey, with the autonomy to set their own goals, work independently, and deliver direct solutions.

You’ll lead design efforts on projects within your team, taking them from initial discovery through to implementation, launch, and continuous iterations. While we don’t follow a strict design process at Oda, you can expect the following tasks to be part of your daily work:

• UX research, discovery, and analysis

• Mapping and systems modeling

• Workshop facilitation

• Project planning and prioritization

• Designing and user testing clickable prototypes in Figma

• Collaborating closely with developers, involving them in your design process from start to finish

• Service implementation and follow-up

What you’ll need to succeed 🌟

• User-centric mindset: Start with research and insights, test concepts, and follow through.

• Outcome-driven approach: Focus on business or customer value metrics and testing hypotheses.

• Attention to detail: Dive into edge cases and root causes-ask all the questions and go the extra mile.

• Systems thinking: Understand how everything at Oda connects and affects each other, turning complexity into clarity.

• Progress over perfection: Focus on getting things out into the world, learning, and making smart trade-offs while protecting UX.

• Business mindset: Balance customer value with business impact.

• 5+ years of experience in UX, interaction, or service design, with a track record of delivering projects in either an in-house or agency setting

• Language proficiency: Be fluent in English as this is our working language.

What we offer 🚀

• A flat structure where we team up across disciplines to solve exciting challenges. Big ideas come from everywhere!

• A transparent way of working. We use Slack to stay in the loop-less email, fewer meetings, more getting things done.

• A buzzing office at Tøyen, with lunch made by our very own chefs. 🧑‍🍳

• A collaborative approach—we tackle exciting tech and product challenges together, across different fields.

• A chance to shape the future of grocery shopping while building a company that’s here to stay.
