Senior Technical Recruiter, EMEA

Blockstream was founded in 2014 by Dr. Adam Back and a group of fellow cryptographers and engineers who are passionate about Bitcoin and its potential to change the world. Today, Blockstream is the leading Bitcoin company, providing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions for enterprises, institutions, and individual Bitcoin users. We develop industry-leading Bitcoin self-custody solutions, Bitcoin-based financial products, second-layer scaling technologies, and enterprise-grade blockchain infrastructure.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to drive full-cycle recruitment across multiple countries in the EMEA region and support our mission of building world-class teams.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Head of HR EMEA and the global HR team to attract and retain exceptional talent across technical and business functions. You will own the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle, delivering a best-in-class candidate experience while influencing hiring strategy across the region.

If you thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and want to play a key role in shaping the future of a leading Bitcoin infrastructure company, this opportunity is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

• Operate as a strategic talent partner, owning hiring outcomes across EMEA and contributing meaningfully to how Blockstream scales

• Lead full-cycle recruitment across EMEA, covering highly technical and business-critical roles

• Build, nurture, and activate strong talent pipelines through thoughtful, proactive sourcing strategies

• Partner closely with hiring managers and senior leadership to clarify role scope, define hiring criteria, and align on long-term talent strategy

• Deliver high-quality, well-calibrated candidate shortlists that balance speed, rigor, and mission alignment

• Drive a best-in-class candidate experience from first outreach through offer acceptance and onboarding

• Guide and educate hiring managers on structured interviewing, market intelligence, and objective evaluation practices

• Own recruiting performance metrics (time-to-hire, pipeline health, conversion rates, quality-of-hire) and use data to continuously refine approach

• Contribute to employer branding initiatives and strengthen Blockstream’s visibility within key talent communities

• Identify and implement process improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, and quality across the EMEA recruitment lifecycle

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• 7+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in high-growth, international technology environments

• Experience hiring in regulated industries (software development, financial services, crypto, fintech)

• Experience supporting high-growth or scale-up environments

• Demonstrated success hiring complex technical profiles (engineering, infrastructure, security) across multiple EMEA jurisdictions

• Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders with credibility and confidence

• Strong sourcing depth. You don’t rely on inbound applicants; you build and nurture pipelines proactively

• Experience managing cross-border hiring complexities within EMEA

• Data-driven approach to recruiting, with a clear understanding of hiring velocity, pipeline health, and quality-of-hire metrics

• Comfort operating autonomously in a distributed, remote-first organization

• Fluency in English is required; additional professional proficiency in German, French, Italian, Spanish, or another EMEA language is strongly preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with Ashby or similar ATS systems and recruitment automation tools.

• Strong employer branding and talent marketing exposure

• General HR experience, beneficial for supporting broader HR initiatives during periods of lower recruitment demand
