About the Role

Recraft builds a professional-grade design tool used by designers and creative teams around the world. We're looking for a Senior or Staff Product Designer to independently own key areas of the product, raise the bar on visual and interaction design, and work hand-in-hand with engineers from early concept through to shipped features. This is a hands-on, high-craft role for someone who enjoys designing at a granular level — the kind of detail that makes a professional tool feel effortless for power users.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently drive design projects end to end — from research and concept through to launch and iteration.

• Design interfaces for a professional creative tool with a high level of detail, considering the nuances that matter most to power users.

• Work closely with engineers throughout the process, including prototyping ideas quickly using code and AI-assisted tools (“vibe-coding”).

• Present and advocate for your design decisions clearly and persuasively, across design, engineering and leadership.

• Stay adaptable in a fast-moving environment where the product — and sometimes your own recent work — can change quickly based on what we learn.

What We're Looking For

• Substantial experience in product design at a senior or staff level, with a track record of independently owning and driving projects.

• An exceptional eye for visual design and craft, with genuine attention to detail.

• Strong, balanced skills across both UX and UI — equally comfortable with structure and polish.

• Comfort working at the intersection of design and engineering, including prototyping with code or AI tools regardless of your current skill level.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain and sell your design thinking to different audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing professional tools or software for power users.

• A native or near-native English speaker, adding linguistic and cultural diversity to the design team.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation in line with market rates for senior/staff-level talent.

• A structured performance review process to support your development and career growth.Performance-based bonuses tied to your impact and the company's results.

• The opportunity to shape a category-defining product and set the design bar for a fast-growing team.

• A high level of ownership and autonomy over your area of the product.

• Close collaboration with founders and leadership — your work and voice will carry real weight.

• A flexible, hybrid-friendly setup within the UK.

• A high-craft, low-bureaucracy culture where good design decisions move fast.

• We’re able to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship in the UK for qualified candidates.
