Job Description
The Senior Solutions Consultant serves as a key partner to sales teams by supporting the sale, design, and implementation of complex products, services, and integrated solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with consultative selling skills to help customers understand how solutions align with and enhance their business operations.
The individual will bring a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s products, services, and technical capabilities while positioning bundled and solution-oriented offerings that address customer needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role builds customer confidence, resolves technical concerns, and guides prospects through all technical aspects of the sales cycle.
This is a highly visible opportunity for an individual who wants to make a meaningful impact. While the role sits within a large financial institution, the organization operates with the speed, urgency, and innovation of a technology company. The successful candidate will work across multiple lines of business, products, industries, and customer segments and will have significant exposure to senior executives and key leaders across the organization. In many cases, this individual will be viewed as a subject-matter expert and representative of best-in-class capabilities within the bank.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with sales teams to identify, develop, and close opportunities involving complex products, services, and integrated solutions.
Serve as the primary technical resource throughout the sales process, articulating the value and functionality of solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conduct customer discovery sessions, pre-sales consultations, and technical discussions with prospective and existing clients.
Design, develop, and deliver customized client proposals, demonstrations, presentations, and solution recommendations.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and practical solutions for customers.
Address technical objections, questions, and concerns throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle.
Consult with clients on solution architecture, integrations, strategies, and best practices to support their business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assemble comprehensive customer solutions and ensure successful implementation.
Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and business-case creation.
Provide implementation guidance and post-sale support to facilitate successful client onboarding and adoption.
Deliver product education and technical training to sales teams and business partners.
Maintain current knowledge of products, technologies, industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging capabilities.
Help identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and develop new approaches to address evolving customer needs.
Build strong relationships with customers, sales teams, product leaders, technology teams, and senior executives.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a traditional technical sales role within a large financial institution. The team operates with a high degree of speed, flexibility, and ownership, providing an environment where individuals can have a direct influence on how the business evolves.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on important strategic initiatives, solve complex customer challenges, and help shape solutions rather than simply execute an established playbook. The role provides exposure to senior executives and leaders across the organization and the ability to work across a broad range of businesses and capabilities.
For someone coming from a fintech, payments company, technology organization, or another financial institution, this role provides an opportunity to bring that experience into an organization with the scale, resources, stability, and reach of a major bank—while retaining the ability to move quickly and make an impact.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with energy, curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to make an impact. The ideal candidate is a builder and problem solver who enjoys figuring out how to make things work. They are comfortable with ambiguity, willing to challenge conventional thinking, and motivated to turn ideas into action. They take ownership, build strong relationships, and are willing to do the work necessary to deliver results.
The candidate may come from a fintech, payments company, technology organization, or another financial institution and be looking for an opportunity where their experience and ideas can have a broader impact.
Most importantly, this person wants to do meaningful work, have visibility with senior leadership, and help establish what best-in-class looks like within the bank.
