The Role

We're seeking a Senior Software Product Owner to serve as the execution backbone across engineering, firmware, and hardware teams, owning delivery discipline and Agile rigor across IPA's cross-domain platform. This role offers the opportunity to move IPA from reactive delivery coordination to structured, predictable platform execution — translating product intent into sequenced, executable work and ensuring that what enters development is scoped correctly and exits with fewer integration surprises. You'll play a key role in building a scalable delivery model that strengthens IPA's ability to ship complex, cross-domain capabilities with consistency, confidence, and operational readiness.

What You’ll Do

• Own and drive platform-level delivery execution across hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams — ensuring alignment on priorities, sequencing, and scope from backlog readiness through release delivery.
• Establish and enforce delivery rigor by defining and implementing best practices for backlog management, sprint execution, release planning, and dependency tracking — ensuring consistent Agile and SDLC discipline across teams with varying levels of maturity.
• Lead cross-team release planning by owning dependency mapping, risk identification, and delivery sequencing that reflects both product priorities and technical constraints — facilitating quarterly and release planning to align teams to shared goals.
• Ensure backlog quality and execution readiness by partnering with Product Development leads and Architecture to resolve ambiguity early, ensuring work is clearly defined, testable, and traceable to product intent before it enters development.
• Drive day-to-day execution alignment by partnering closely with engineering leads to remove blockers, clarify requirements, maintain delivery momentum, and proactively address risks before they impact delivery.
• Integrate cross-functional readiness by coordinating with Customer Support, Training, and other stakeholders to ensure delivered capabilities are operationally ready for real-world use and adoption.
• Introduce tools, metrics, and AI-driven practices that improve delivery performance, support governance, and build a scalable delivery model as IPA grows its platform capabilities.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile best practices, driving continuous improvement in delivery processes and team effectiveness across the organization.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Product Owner, Product Management, or Agile delivery roles, with a proven track record of leading delivery across multiple teams or complex, cross-domain systems.
• Strong cross-domain fluency across hardware, firmware, and software integrated environments — or equivalent experience in systems of comparable complexity — with the ability to operate at both the platform level and in the details.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks — Scrum, Kanban, SAFe — and SDLC practices, with demonstrated ability to establish and sustain delivery discipline across teams with varying levels of product maturity.
• Proven experience leading release planning, dependency management, and cross-team coordination — including managing third-party software delivery partners — with the ability to translate complex sequencing into clear, executable plans.
• Strong systems thinking capability, with the ability to translate desired outcomes into structured solutions and anticipate cross-team dependencies and risks before they surface in delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to build trust across engineering, product, and business teams and communicate delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs with clarity and consistency.

You’ll Excel If You:

• Thrive at the intersection of execution discipline and cross-domain complexity, and can bring structure and clarity to ambiguous environments without losing delivery momentum.
• Are equally comfortable operating at the system level and in the details — reviewing backlog quality one moment and facilitating cross-team dependency mapping the next.
• Take ownership of delivery outcomes, not just team outputs, and hold yourself accountable for whether work enters development ready and exits without integration surprises.
• Build trust naturally across engineering, product, and stakeholders — communicating with the right level of detail for each audience and following through consistently on delivery commitments.
• Are energized by building scalable, repeatable delivery models in complex or regulated environments where sequencing, quality, and operational readiness truly matter.
• Bring an AI-informed mindset to product delivery — actively exploring how AI-driven tools and practices can improve how teams plan, prioritize, and ship.

What We Offer:

• The opportunity to own IPA's platform delivery model in a high-impact, operationally critical role.
• Direct partnership with engineering leads, system architects, and product leadership to align delivery execution with platform vision and business priorities.
• Autonomy to establish delivery rigor, shape Agile practices, and build a scalable execution model that grows with IPA's platform capabilities.
• Professional development and career growth within a growing product and engineering organization committed to innovation and operational excellence.
• A hybrid work model with flexibility and collaboration built in (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
• Competitive compensation, bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
• A mission-driven culture where your work directly shapes IPA's ability to deliver technology that improves infection prevention and operational efficiency in healthcare.
