About Us
CopilotKit is the #1 open-source platform for connecting AI Agents with user-facing applications. In our first two years, we’ve delivered the fastest growing Javascript AI framework of all time, and built a vibrant community (40k+ GitHub stars, millions of weekly installs, 10s of millions of copilot interactions, double-digit MoM growth), are already monetizing at the enterprise level, and are used by companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100s (including production usage by over 10% of Fortune 500s).
We’re emerging as the default for a critical part of the AI stack: the agent/user interaction layer. CopilotKit brings agents out of demos and terminals and into production, through deep integrations with the leading AI infrastructure companies and hyper-scalers (including the leading AI/infra teams at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, LangChain, Mastra, Pydantic, Agno, and others).
Our small, fast-moving team is building the agentic application platform that will define how user-interactive AI actually manifests in the real world. This is a unique opportunity to join as an early leader on one of the most complex and high-leverage surfaces in AI — with significant scope for technical, product, and leadership growth.
The Role
You'll own the deep integrations between CopilotKit & AG-UI and the broader agentic stack -- and keep our position as the default choice for connecting any agent to user-facing surfaces.
You'll collaborate on a daily basis with some of the most important teams on some of the world's most important companies, including the leading AI teams at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, as well as leading teams as Langchain, Mastra, Pydantic, Agno, AG2, Llamaindex, and others.
This role requires both breadth and depth: rapidly understand new frameworks, identify the right integration patterns, and ship production-quality SDKs that tens of thousands of developers depend on. You'll work directly with partner engineering teams and represent CopilotKit in technical collaborations across the AI infrastructure ecosystem.
We're Looking for Pilots, Not Just Mechanics
For integrations work, an AI-native workflow matters even more. You'll need to rapidly understand new frameworks, prototype integration approaches, and iterate quickly across multiple codebases. You're fluent in AI-assisted development as your primary mode of working—directing AI to explore unfamiliar APIs, generate integration boilerplate, and accelerate context-switching. You evaluate outputs, catch failure modes, and course-correct in real time. You've shipped meaningful work this way, especially in integrations where breadth and speed matter as much as depth.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain integrations with agent frameworks and model providers, including AG-UI protocol adapters
- Design clean, idiomatic APIs that feel native to each framework while maintaining ecosystem consistency
- Own full integration lifecycle: research, prototyping, implementation, documentation, and maintenance
- Work directly with partner teams to coordinate releases, resolve compatibility issues, and influence roadmaps
- Create comprehensive examples and guides for rapid adoption
- Monitor ecosystem trends and identify high-value integration opportunities
Requirements
- Track record building integrations, SDKs, or libraries that connect disparate systems
- Strong TypeScript expertise (3+ years); Python proficiency is a plus
- Experience rapidly learning new frameworks and APIs (you have a system for this)
- Comfort working across multiple codebases and languages simultaneously
- AI-native workflow with demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for exploring APIs and accelerating context-switching
- Clear communication skills for cross-team/cross-company collaboration
- High independence and ability to drive projects end-to-end
Nice to Have: Agent framework experience (LangGraph, CrewAI, ADK, Mastra), LLM APIs, external partner work, open-source contributions, React, real-time systems
Why Join Us
• Work on foundational AI tech: Build the infrastructure powering the next wave of user-facing, AI-native applications
• Ship from zero-to-one: Join early enough to shape the product, architecture, and engineering culture while riding the wave of real traction and momentum
• Be surrounded by top talent: Join an A+ team and collaborate with world-class engineers, researchers, and AI infra leaders
• Make open-source impact: Build in public with a fast-growing, engaged developer community
• Own meaningful upside: Competitive salary and real equity with early-stage ownership and line-of-sight to value creation
• Build your network: Daily and weekly work alongside the most important teams of the world’s most important companies; on the infrastructure side, the ai/infra teams of Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Langchain, Mastra, Pydantic, Agno, and others; on the customer side, the leading ai product initiatives of the world’s top enterprises
• Great benefits: 100% health coverage for employees, 50% for dependents, Dental and Vision insurance, competitive paid time off
• Remote-first, high-agency culture: Flexible work, no micromanagement, and full trust and ownership
• Help define a new category: Shape the direction of a fast-growing, well-funded startup building a core layer of the future AI stack
We're looking for builders with a bias toward ownership: engineers who thrive in ambiguity, love solving hard problems, and want to help create something genuinely new. You’re joining at the inflection point: product-market fit is real, momentum is strong, and the most meaningful technical decisions are still ahead.
