Senior backend engineer on ExtraHop's Middleware team, building a fault-resilient, scalable cybersecurity platform: public REST APIs, PostgreSQL design/query optimization, data migrations, and config management. Services are written mainly in Go and Python (with TypeScript/React), running on AWS/GCP with Terraform-based infrastructure.
At ExtraHop, we’re on a mission to protect and empower the connected enterprise. We reveal what is happening in the very infrastructure that sustains businesses, lives, and communities, and ensure the integrity of networks, data, systems, and processes. Organizations rely on ExtraHop to provide visibility into the cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and network performance issues that evade their existing security and IT tools. With this insight, organizations can investigate smarter, stop threats faster, and keep operations running.
Our mission is fueled by a profound social and moral responsibility to be the best at what we do, ensuring a secure world where everyone can thrive. If this sounds like a place you’d like to spend the next chapter of your career, we’d love to hear from you.

Join the Middleware team as a Sr. Software Engineer and help us build a fault-resilient, highly available, and customer-centric platform. In this role you will work with the team to build a scalable and secure platform and build customer-facing features that enable security and engineering teams to stop threats in their place! This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is obsessed with customer success, passionate about simplification, and eager to dive deep into technology best practices.
Our services and features are written primarily in Python, Golang, TypeScript and React with a focus on security, scalability, stability and type-first design.
