You’ll architect, design and build secure, scalable systems that power Airwallex’s lending platform and enable seamless, compliant credit experiences for enterprise clients and their users.
Design and build robust services that power lending and credit products.
Build secure, scalable and well-documented APIs that let clients embed and consume credit products within their own offerings.
Lead design reviews, advise on systems architecture and mentor engineers to raise the bar on code quality and technical excellence.
Champion resilient, distributed systems that perform reliably at global enterprise scale.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver effective lending solutions and improve engineering practices across testing, code review, monitoring and delivery.
You’ll work from our Singapore office five days a week.
A bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong exposure to modern engineering practices, continuous integration and quality engineering.
At least 2 years in a technical leadership role, mentoring engineers and leading the definition and execution of engineering strategy.
A strong computer science foundation and object-oriented programming skills, with proven experience building backend systems. We primarily use Java or Kotlin and the Spring / Spring Boot framework, though we’re open to engineers with experience in other languages.
Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs, with familiarity with modern API design principles and tools.
Experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures in production environments.
A proven track record designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems at scale.
Cloud experience with GCP or AWS, including services such as EC2, RDS, ELB and CloudFront, as well as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with observability tooling such as Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus.
Experience with SaaS products offered as a platform.
You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.
You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. Give you a problem, not a prescription, and you'll run with it.
You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
You value in-person collaboration and are happy being in the office five days a week.
