Senior Software Engineer - Konsultuppdrag i Göteborg

About the Assignment

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Go, Python, and AWS to join a team working within the connected‑vehicle domain. In this role, you will contribute to backend services that enable critical vehicle‑related journeys such as stolen vehicle tracking, emergency services, roadside assistance, vehicle positioning, and call‑center operations.

As part of the team, you’ll work with cloud-based services, APIs, integrations, databases, and monitoring. Current initiatives include improving position handling for vehicle services, supporting new vehicle launches and customer rollouts, developing global assignment capabilities, migrating customer-care solutions, and strengthening alarm management through PagerDuty.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization, supporting solutions used by leading automotive brands worldwide. The team is responsible for the entire service lifecycle, from design and development to testing, production rollout, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.

Join the team if you enjoy solving complex backend challenges, taking ownership of production services, and building reliable connected-vehicle solutions used around the world.

Who are you?

You are open-minded, flexible and thrive under challenging and changing conditions. As a person, you are curious, innovative, and analytical, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You enjoy teamwork and have an inclusive approach to your work. You deliver high-quality code and feel great ownership of the code you produce. You enjoy taking responsibility throughout the entire software lifecycle, from development to deployment, monitoring and support.

The team

The team culture is built on collaboration and ownership. Rather than assigning tasks to individual team members, the team works together to deliver larger user stories. User story refinement, breakdown, and solution design are carried out collaboratively whenever needed.

We see that you

• Prefer working from the office, with an on-site presence of 3-4 days per week during onboarding and at least 2-3 days per week thereafter.

• Enjoy collaborative ways of working, including mob programming and close task collaboration.

• Are open to learning, improving, and working with diverse technologies, and enjoy refactoring and exploring new approaches.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Go and Python

• Strong experience with Java

• Experience working with AWS

• DevOps mindset and experience with monitoring, vulnerability management, and operational excellence

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools

• Experience supporting technical integrations

• Experience working with legacy systems

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
