Senior Java/J2EE/Spring engineer with Angular front-end skills, managing offshore teams through the full SDLC for banking/financial systems in Singapore.
Analyze, design, develop, customize, implement, and maintain assigned systems in alignment with business requirements
Participate in gathering requirements, perform technical impact analysis, estimate development efforts, and create and review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Manage offshore development teams to ensure compliance with technical standards and quality benchmarks, while conducting code reviews to identify issues and enforce best practices.
Conduct unit and system integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare release procedures, and ensure smooth deployment of production implementations.
Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, develop workarounds, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues, recommending preventive actions to prevent future problems.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years experience in software development using Java technologies (J2EE, Spring Framework) and front-end technologies (JavaScript/Angular/AngularJS), preferably within the banking or financial sector.
Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
Hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining cloud-native Java applications on Microsoft Azure is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Newgen BPM system is preferred.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and/or Agile).
Excellent presentation, communication, and coordination skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
