Senior Software Engineer Controls Simulation

You will develop high-fidelity simulations of articulated truck dynamics and control behavior. You will model vehicle and environmental effects, compare simulations with on-road results, evaluate controllers, and help build evidence supporting safe driverless operation.

Responsibilities

• Simulate articulated truck motion in response to steering, accelerator, and brake inputs
• Model vehicular motion and coupled tractor-trailer interactions
• Incorporate environmental effects including incline, road bank, rolling resistance, and wind
• Characterize nonlinear effects including gear shifting and electronic stability control
• Analyze simulation fidelity against real-world performance
• Evaluate controller performance across multidimensional assessments
• Build a safety case for driverless operation
