Senior systems engineer on Apple's Ads team building the on-device infrastructure that delivers ads across the Apple ecosystem — OS daemons, frameworks, and SDKs that fetch, rank, and filter ad candidates while enforcing policy and privacy. Day-to-day is low-level platform work in a C-like language with heavy focus on concurrency and cross-process communication, not UI or app development.
At Apple, we believe in the power of technology to enrich people's lives, a belief that extends to the work we do in building innovative advertising solutions that benefit advertisers and endusers alike. In the Apple Ads group we help developers drive app discovery across the App Store, businesses find new customers on Maps, help advertisers promote their products along trusted content from publishers in Apple News and Stocks, and help sponsors connect with audiences in live sports on Apple TV. Everything we do is with the unwavering commitment to privacy you expect from Apple. Because we believe when advertising is done right, it benefits everyone.
We build the on-device systems that deliver ads across the Apple ecosystem: OS daemons, frameworks, and SDKs that fetch, rank and filter ad candidates; enforce ad policy and legal compliance; and protect user privacy before our partner apps even render anything.
This is not a UI or app-building role: this is a systems and platform engineering position that requires working knowledge of cross-process communication, concurrency, on-device business logic, and privacy-by-architecture at scale.
