Position Overview:
The Senior SEO Analyst leads the strategy and day-to-day execution of organic search, technical SEO, content SEO, AEO, GEO, backlink health, and search intelligence. The role identifies opportunities, sets priorities, and ensures KnowledgeCity's website and content are structured to perform across search engines, AI answer engines, generative search experiences, and other emerging discovery surfaces.
The role works closely with the Content Marketing Senior Editors, Web Developer, Marketing Automations Specialist, Revenue Operations, and other marketing stakeholders. The Senior SEO Analyst defines search requirements and priorities, validates implementation, and uses performance data to continuously improve visibility and qualified pipeline contribution.
This is a highly analytical and execution-focused role. Success requires the ability to diagnose search performance, translate technical and content findings into clear actions, and connect SEO, AEO, and GEO performance to leads, MQLs, SQLs, and broader business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own KnowledgeCity's organic search strategy and performance across SEO, AEO, and GEO, with a focus on qualified visibility, traffic, and pipeline contribution.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and ongoing monitoring across crawlability, indexation, redirects, canonicalization, hreflang, XML sitemaps, schema, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals.
- Identify and resolve indexation and crawl-efficiency issues across KnowledgeCity's website, course catalog, product pages, industry pages, and other priority content areas.
- Lead keyword, search-intent, competitor, and content-gap research to identify high-value opportunities across commercial, informational, and buyer-focused queries.
- Set SEO requirements for new and existing content, including page structure, keyword targeting, internal linking, metadata, search intent, topic coverage, and content refresh priorities.
- Partner with Content Marketing Senior Editors to develop briefs, content hubs, refresh plans, and editorial priorities that strengthen topical authority and organic performance.
- Lead KnowledgeCity's AEO and GEO efforts by optimizing content and site signals for answer engines, AI Overviews, generative search experiences, and large-language-model-driven discovery.
- Build and maintain buyer-question and citation research to understand how KnowledgeCity, competitors, and third-party sources appear across AI-generated answers and recommendation surfaces.
- Identify AEO and GEO citation gaps and recommend content, technical, authority, marketplace, and community actions that improve KnowledgeCity's likelihood of being surfaced and cited.
- Strengthen structured content, entity signals, authoritative sourcing, schema, and other signals that help search engines and generative systems understand and trust KnowledgeCity's expertise and offerings.
- Monitor backlink quality, referring domains, unlinked mentions, and link-reclamation opportunities, and support digital PR initiatives that strengthen search authority.
- Track and analyze organic performance across rankings, indexation, impressions, clicks, AI citations, AI-referral traffic, engagement, leads, MQLs, SQLs, and pipeline contribution.
- Work with Revenue Operations and Marketing Automations to maintain reliable search attribution, dashboards, monitoring, alerts, and reporting across traditional and AI-driven search channels.
- Maintain clear SEO, AEO, and GEO workflows, documentation, priorities, and recommendations so technical, content, and authority improvements are executed consistently and measured effectively.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, organic search, search marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Advanced technical SEO knowledge across crawling, indexation, redirects, canonicalization, hreflang, XML sitemaps, structured data, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals.
- Strong content SEO expertise, including keyword research, search intent, topic planning, content briefs, internal linking, on-page optimization, and content refresh strategies.
- Strong understanding of AEO and GEO, including optimization for AI answer engines, generative search, AI Overviews, buyer-question coverage, citation visibility, entity signals, and authoritative content.
- Experience analyzing search and AI-discovery performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, crawling platforms, rank trackers, and AI visibility or citation-monitoring tools.
- Experience evaluating backlink profiles, identifying link-reclamation opportunities, and supporting digital PR or authority-building initiatives.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect search performance to qualified traffic, leads, MQLs, SQLs, and pipeline rather than rankings alone.
- Strong cross-functional communication and execution skills, with the ability to work effectively with editors, developers, marketing automation, Revenue Operations, sales, and leadership.
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to turn technical findings and changing search behavior into clear priorities, requirements, and measurable improvements
