Yugabyte is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer (Senior Principal Solutions Engineer) to act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise prospects and customers — running product demos, architecture deep-dives, and proof-of-concept deployments of YugabyteDB, its distributed PostgreSQL-compatible database. Core tech includes SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS/GCP/Azure, and Kubernetes/Docker.
Yugabyte is the company behind YugabyteDB, the AI-ready, multi-modal, distributed PostgreSQL database for cloud-native apps. Trusted by industry leaders including Shopify, Paramount+, GM, Kroger, Fiserv, and NPCI, YugabyteDB has been deployed in over 100 countries and powers more than 5 million clusters worldwide.
Together, our hard-working team of experts and our industry-leading technology are uniquely positioned to meet the demands of modern workloads: geo-distributed, ultra-resilient, and built to scale without limits.
Our Yugabeings (distributed, like our database) span 12+ countries and multiple time zones, sharing expertise from diverse backgrounds and industries.
Reimagining PostgreSQL for a Cloud-Native World — that’s the mission of Yugabyte. YugabyteDB is a PostgreSQL-compatible distributed database purpose-built for modern, cloud-native applications. It’s designed from the ground up to be resilient, scalable, and flexible. As large enterprises modernize and born-in-the-cloud companies build disruptive solutions, many turn to PostgreSQL as their database of choice—and YugabyteDB quickly becomes their preferred distributed Postgres of choice. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing a customer say they experienced an availability zone or region outage, yet their database stayed fully available with YugabyteDB.
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our fast-growing global sales team. As a Senior Principal Solutions Engineer at Yugabyte, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers by demonstrating how YugabyteDB can solve complex distributed data problems in real-world applications. You’ll work alongside account executives, product managers, and engineering to guide customers through evaluation, adoption, and successful implementation of our technology.

As well as equity (when applicable), and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, and unlimited paid time off (PTO). The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The actual pay will vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, and skill level.
